286 Days To Go!

Bryson and Erin first crossed paths in 2009 at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. After graduating, they drifted apart and returned to their hometown of Austin, Texas, where life took them in different directions.

Almost 15 years later, in October 2025, Erin went for coffee with a college mutual friend, who mentioned Bryson. Later that day. Erin requested to be his friend on Instagram. Bryson accepted in under five minutes and sent her a message. After realizing they were both still in Austin, they met up the next night to catch up. After Bryson walked Erin to her car, he knew there was something there.

Christmas came around and something in Bryson knew this would be his last big holiday to spend apart from Erin. From then on, it was just a matter of merging our two worlds.

In January, Erin got acquainted with all of Bryson's running family and Bryson became quick friends with all of Erin's church family. They went on their first trip together in March to Colorado and Erin discovered that snow might not be the worst thing ever.

During their trip to visit Erin's family in Houston for Easter, Bryson desperately begged for her hand in marriage from them.

After months of planning and coordinating with all of Erin's family and closest friends, THE DAY, June 6th, 2026, finally arrived. Bryson had the photographer, and dinner booked and had absolutely zero control over the weather... it looked like it might rain. Also, making sure Erin had her nails done and was dressed up (because it was JUST dinner). He spent the entire day stressing that the sunset might be ruined by the clouds.

In the evening, he took Erin to Eberly, which went perfectly except for his watch dying and the waiter nearly spoiling the post dinner surprise proposal. But despite all the hiccups, we made it out on schedule for the sunset proposal. We drove up to Mt. Bonnell where our lovely photographer had flowers and candles all set up for us as we walked up. The weather held off and she had zero idea what was in store, so mission success!
